Boatshafts
MARINOX® is the registered trademark that identifies a group of austenitic, precipitation hardening and duplex stainless steels used in the manufacture of propeller shafts in the shipbuilding industry.
By using these types of steel, engineers can reduce shaft dimensions and hence smaller supports and seals are possible.
The simultaneous reduction of weight and hydrodynamic resistance permits better performances and greater efficiency.
The use of stainless steel propeller shafts guarantees ships greater speed and economy of use than those that employ conventional shafts.
The bars are wrapped in plastic and supplied in wooden boxes.
