The following types of steel have specific mechanical characteristics, either standard or in accordance with customer requirements, and varying levels of machinability that customers have become known to expect.
The majority of small parts for weapons are produced from stainless steel; the components obtained can be subjected to final heat treatments or to particular surface treatments.
